Meet KoKo
We aren't just teaching kids how to sew. We're teaching them how to create.
At VIIXVII Sewing Studio, we believe children should have the opportunity to create with their hands, explore their imagination, and learn skills that last a lifetime.
We teach children and young people how to sew, design, construct, and bring their ideas to life. Through hands-on projects, students learn far more than how to operate a sewing machine.
From their very first stitch to more advanced fashion and sewing projects, every student is encouraged to create, experiment, make mistakes, try again, and be proud of what they make.
KoKo has sewn for eighteen years and opened the Girard Avenue studio to give young people the workroom she wished she'd had - real machines, real fabric, and enough room to get it wrong before getting it right.
